The CWL aims to unite Catholic women in fellowship through our common faith in Southern Africa and throughout the world under the motto: Charity, Work and Loyalty.
The League promotes the teachings of the Church and the principles and values of the Gospel.
THE PURPOSE OF THE CWL
• To unite Catholic women in their service to God, the Church, the family and the country,
• To assist with Parish work.
• To consolidate Catholic action among Catholic women in defence of Catholic principals.
• To promote fellowship among its women.
• To engage in social welfare activities such as caring for the aged, family welfare and community work for the underprivileged.
WHAT DOES THE CWL DO?
• We offer a service of supplying tea at funerals.
• We assist with tea and refreshments for most of the parish functions
• We choose specific projects to assist the needy
• We also contribute to projects undertaken by the PE Diocese Catholic Womens’ League.
HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET?
We meet on the 1st Wed of every month after Mass.
WHO CAN JOIN?
All Catholic women are eligible to join. If God is calling you to serve the church in the above-mentioned manner, the CWL is the place for you.
